Join as a Professional

How lovely that you are interested. Below is an example of how the process could go:

1. A further introduction to us and our vision.
2. A further introduction to you, in the form of a one-on-one conversation with founder Isabel Brouwer and the local Healing Grounds initiator, if there already is one.
3. An appointment in which we have, among other things, an in-depth conversation, so that we learn everything about your practice. This conversation is mind to mind and heart to heart. We have learned that these are wonderful conversations.
4. Based on our conversations we draw up a concise one-page profile. This document summarises the essence of your offering for our visitors, so that they can make a well-considered choice. You receive this profile for review and approval.
5. How you are embedded in the network, which can take different forms; together we discuss what suits you best.

The process takes about a month.

Yes, there is a one-off membership fee for participating. For most roles this is €295 (excl. VAT). The fee varies per role; you can find an overview in the roles on the professionals page.

This fee is a contribution towards the time and resources we invest in the introduction, the communication materials we develop for you, and how we embed you professionally in our network.

No, we currently do not work with fixed contracts and there is no minimum participation period. In principle you can always stop.

But by joining the Healing Grounds network we do enter into a mutual commitment; this is not a no-strings club. We invest in each other.

You can contribute in various ways, and this differs per professional, for example:

• Taking part in the peer consultation meetings.
• Sharing your ideas and helping to shape Healing Grounds as it grows.
• Supporting other professionals with your expertise and a listening ear.
• Championing our shared mission in your practice.

Together we achieve more than alone.

The one-off membership fee is a contribution towards the time and resources we invest:

• The personal and in-depth introductory conversation, at your location if possible.
• The time and materials for your personal one-page profile (the 'pitch' of your offering).
• A permanent place on the Healing Grounds website to introduce yourself.

In addition to the one-off membership fee, you can optionally use a Healing Grounds account for digital services such as email, calendar, bookings, secure video calling and AI, for €5 per month. Apart from that, there are currently no recurring costs.

As a network we are, however, discussing a possible annual contribution in the future, to cover the fixed expenses and to finance our shared initiatives.

Our promise to you: Everyone who joins before the decision about this annual contribution will not be obliged to pay it, as long as there is no full agreement on the amount and its purpose. You continue to think along and decide about this with the group.

Then we discuss together which costs will be charged. These depend on where in the process you decide to stop. If that decision comes from our side, then no costs are charged.

Usually, in step 1 or 2 of the process, we already discover that, for example, the timing is not quite right yet, or that it does not (yet) resonate. That is why a good introduction is so important: do get in touch and ask all your questions. We warmly welcome them.

This is a lovely question. Healing Grounds is a network in motion, so the roles and how you can contribute are also still very much in development. That means there is plenty of room for your own initiative and that your unique contribution matters.

At the moment we see the following roles and ways of contributing emerging in the network:

• The Healing Grounds professional: You are part of an interdisciplinary network of 8 to 12 professionals that regularly comes together for peer consultation and knowledge sharing. This is the foundation of the Healing Grounds network.
• The Ambassador: You actively champion the vision of Healing Grounds within your own network. You inspire both other professionals and potential visitors with our mission.
• The Initiator: You take the initiative to set up a Healing Grounds network (possibly with a fixed location) in your own region or for a very specific target group. You are the driving force locally.
• The Niche Expert: You are the specialist for certain, very specific requests, for example "men with intimacy questions". You are the designated person when a visitor needs in-depth, specialised help.
• The Online Professional: You do not (yet) have a regional network, but you are available online for our visitors, such as Dr. Chantalle Burgers. Later, on this basis, you can join a regional network.

In short: There are many ways to contribute. During the introductory conversation we look together at which role best suits your wishes and possibilities.

Holistic means that we look at the person as a whole: body, mind and emotions are considered together. Instead of only treating symptoms, we look for the cause of a complaint. Holistic healthcare focuses on promoting balance and wellbeing in all aspects of your life.

Integrative goes a step further by combining different treatment methods and insights. Integrative medicine brings together the best of different worlds: conventional medical knowledge is combined with complementary therapies and attention to lifestyle, nutrition and mental wellbeing. The aim is to create a tailored approach that suits your unique situation and needs.

Positive Health is a broader approach to health that looks not only at the absence of illness, but also at what someone can do themselves to promote their wellbeing. It focuses on six dimensions of health: bodily functions, mental wellbeing, meaningfulness, quality of life, social participation and daily functioning. It is a holistic approach that supports people to work actively on their own health and wellbeing.

The Spider Web is a tool to visualise someone's Positive Health. With it, one looks broadly at one's own health. At Healing Grounds we then guide visitors in defining their health desire. That is naturally what they want to work on, and for that they come up with a first step themselves. Should individual guidance be desired, we introduce a number of health professionals from the network who can support them.

You can visit freely accessible or independent health professionals without a referral from your GP. These include lifestyle doctors, but also all kinds of complementary therapists.

You can find an overview of the different types of complementary therapies at the RBCZ, for example. Doctors and nurses are registered in the BIG register.

Many Healing Grounds health professionals are also members of a professional association. They are skilled health professionals who work holistically or integratively.

Yes, all our health professionals have completed a recognised training, usually at bachelor's or master's level. They are skilled in their discipline. Most are also affiliated with relevant professional associations and a complaints committee. Doctors and nurses are of course BIG registered.

The Clarity Session is guided by Healing Grounds team members who have successfully completed the Positive Health training. They guide visitors in clarifying their health desire and (if desired) which health professional(s) can support them.

Healing Grounds health professionals are:

• Inspired, meaning they know "this is what I am here to do now"
• Trustworthy
• Experienced
• Motivated to collaborate and connect with other professionals

Trust is the key word for us, which is why we always have a conversation with both the health professional and the visitor to hear how the match between them is, without going into the content of the guidance. This way we keep a constant finger on the pulse and learn to predict ever better which health professional best suits which health desire and which person.
